A frontier town first settled by the Romans, Túy is a short distance from Portugal, near the two-tiered road-and-rail bridge (over the Miño River) that links the two countries. The bridge was designed by Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel. (He designed a tower in Paris you may have heard of.) If you're driving from Portugal's Valença do Minho, Túy is your introduction to Spain.
